MINDS (Mental Health Incubator for Disruptive Solutions), is Canada’s first social innovation lab
addressing complex community mental health challenges. It promotes the mental health and
wellbeing of youth and young adults by strategically developing and evaluating solutions.

In their work, they engage diverse stakeholders across the mental health system including
hospitals, community agencies, schools, social services, police, business owners and others to
come together with young people with lived experience, and their families, to co-create
innovative solutions to support young people grappling with mental health issues.

MINDS is entering its second phase focusing on access to quality mental health care,
preventative measures and the intersection of social determinants such as housing, poverty
and trauma.
